Experienced Wood Shop Craftsman

A Wood Shop Craftsman is a leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operations of a woodworking facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role typically bridges the gap between upper management and the floor staff, combining technical expertise with personnel management. Pay range: $23 – $28 per hour.

Key Qualifications

Experience: Usually requires 5+ years of experience in woodworking or cabinet making.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting woodworking machinery, including multiheaded molders, routers, table saws, miter and band saws, and hand tools.
Education: A high school diploma is standard; however, vocational training or a degree in construction management can be beneficial.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills are essential for relaying project specs to the team and reporting status to management.
